Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based therapy that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness.
DBT has proven effective in helping individuals develop coping skills, challenge negative thinking, and reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-harm and suicidal ideation. DBT is also validating and can be empowering!
The Teen DBT Group is part of the mental health support for teenagers that Eastside Center for Healing provides.
Teen DBT Group
At Eastside Center for Healing, we offer a teen DBT group, led by Janelle Natividad, LMCHA, SUDPT.
During the summer, the teen DBT group meets once a week for 2, for 6 weeks. The group runs longer during the school year.
What your teen can accomplish in the Teen DBT Group
Teenagers can benefit from DBT therapy with a therapist and from the Teen DBT Group.
Everyone faces unique challenges, hardships, and heartaches. Using DBT allows teens to learn ways to deal with their personal challenges and work toward self-improvement.
